A little bit of mid week Inspiration...

We stumbled across this stunning apartment in Edinburgh while doing a little research for an upcoming commission piece we are undertaking and fell in love with it in an instant. We love the mish mash of vintage and antique pieces and the eclectic mix of natural woods, woven materials and lashings of white paint! The combination of the vintage furnishings, Cole & Son Wallpaper & quirky decorative pieces like the antlers and chinese lanterns looks smashing too!

Check out the inspace locations website for further details!

The Vintage Bug...

Vintage furniture is a funny thing – some people absolutely adore it and have their homes packed with old pieces, while others would rather eat dry sawdust than have anything second-hand in their properties.
But when it comes down to it, investing in a good piece of vintage furniture can be fantastic idea if you’re disinclined to spend money on replacing big ticket items on a regular basis.
After all, vintage products are likely to have been made to last if they’ve remained sturdy from the moment they were made through to the second you buy them.

If you’re still a bit sniffy about buying used goods, you could compromise and look into furniture that’s been refurbished to look good as new while still retaining that vintage feel.

You don’t have to follow this strategy for all furniture. It makes sense to splash out on large items for durability and quality and hunt for bargains when it comes to on-trend accessories that you’re likely to change fairly frequently.

Ercol Studio Couch....

Ercol have re-issued their iconic Studio Couch to mark their 90th Anninversary. Designed by Lucian Ercolani, the Studio Couch was first introduced in the late 1950s. It was designed to function both as a large sofa and an occasional single bed for guests. It features characteristic steam bent arms and is made from solid elm and beech in their Buckinghamshire factory. Made from solid elm and beech, you can get it finished in a wide range of fabrics. Because of that point, prices vary, but start at £1,875.

We have a vintage one in stock at the moment at a fraction of this price but be quick, it won't be around for too much longer!!
