A Right Royal Pop-Up.....
Its been a busy few weeks here at HQ with a number of lovely projects on the go, one of which was our Diamond Jubilee Pop-Up window display in Holywood. The lovely people at Rodgers and Browne Estate Agents have invited us back to help them celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee. We brought along one of our current favourites, our "Mr Peacock" Cocktail Chair and teamed him up with a new addition to the family "Bloody Mary",a beautiful fully refurbished 1950s cocktail chair finished in Tomato Red Velvet. The display draws inspiration from the era of the Queens Coronation and has been given an appropriately Regal theme. The display is set against a Colonial Pink backdrop watched over by an Andy Warhol Print taken from Her Majestys Silver Jubilee. All items on display are available to purchase from Rodgers & Brownes lovely offices at 76 Main Street, Holywood BT18 9AE or through us at our new studio/showroom (more of which to follow!) If you need any further details of any of the pieces you can email us at: hello@itsallgonevintagedarling.co.uk!

A little bit of Nordic Cool........
This sophisticated Scandart Armchair oozes Scandinavian Style and adds a dash of Nordic Cool to our Spring Summer Collection for 2012. This beautiful piece has been fully reconditioned & reupholstered in soft cloud grey tumbled linen and accented with rich charcoal grey elements to the frame. We adore the elegant lines of the teak frame and think it would be the perfect companion for any sophisticated modern home. For further details check out our website or email us at hello@itsallgonevintagedarling.co.uk!

Say hello to "Mr Peacock".....
"Mr Peacock" is the latest addition to our Spring/Summer 2012 Collection and is a beautiful, fully reconditioned and re-upholstered 1950s Cocktail Chair in elegant soft Peacock Blue Velvet. The clean elegant lines of this great period chair make it an unfussy statement piece for any interior. The original re-polished blond wood frame is accented by slashes of soft dove grey in the form of lacquered diagonal rear legs and armrest supports. This beautiful chair is a delight to sit in as it is fully sprung and its styling is quintessentially Mid Century! Gin and Tonic anyone?

Milk and two sugars please......
Who would have thought that one of today’s most desirable ranges of tableware was once sold at the long gone Woolworth’s at two and a half pence a piece!
The ´Homemaker´ range for Ridgway Potteries (Stoke-on-Trent) was designed in 1957 by Enid Seeney, a student of the Burslem School of Art, and features a pattern composed of an eclectic mix of furniture and other household objects such as a carving knife, fork and plant pot. Included in this mix are great design icons such as a Robin Day armchair and a Sigvard Bernadotte sofa and sideboard. These abstract black and white designs are so typical of the era and adorned everything from saucers to serving bowls. The timeless elegance of the design make this one of the most beautiful and collectible Fifties Sets around.

Lounging in the afternoon.....
Well, what about this for a little bit of Mad Men Glamour! We have just got this incredibly stylish 3 seater teak and aformosa framed settee back from our upholsterers who have done a simply smashing job! The rich "Coal Dust Grey" fabric compliments the warm wooden frame perfectly and the trio of 1950s style printed down filled cushions just add that little extra charm. We adore the elegant lines of this beautiful piece and fell in love as soon as we laid eyes on it. It has been fully refurbished and we think it looks just dandy!

Hello and goodbye.....
As you will all now by know we have always had a little bit of a thing for Vintage Ercol here at HQ. Just as we say goodbye to one delightful piece another one arrives to take its place in our hearts.
Our latest "house guest" is a rather wonderful Ercol elm and beech Studio Couch which we will be lovingly restoring over the summer. At the moment she is reminiscent of an ageing Hollywood Starlet - all the right bits are there but she's not as fresh faced as she used to be! Fear not though, a little light cosmetic work will see her back on top bill.
Keep your eyes peeled for developments over the coming months as we get her refinished, retrimmed and reupholstered - the big question is what colour will her new frock be?!?

We love Vintage Glassware.......
We thought we would share our love of Vintage Glassware with you and couldn´t think of a better example to start with than this beautiful piece of Whitefriars glass by Geoffery Baxter. No longer in operation, the Whitefriars Factory produced arguably the best quality glass ever created in Britain. This great glassware has gained in popularity over the last 10years and has become sought after by collectors across Europe and indeed the world.
This piece has been given the nickname the Mobile Phone Vase due to its unique shape and glass bubbles which resemble the buttons on a mobile phone. The vase was designed in the late 1960s and is from the Whitefriars "Textured" Range. For more info on C20th glassware make sure to check out www.20thcenturyglass.com.
